Phidiax welcomes Tom Canter as Director of Integration, and Cloud Architect

In an effort to expand our senior leadership, delivery capacity, and technical excellence, Phidiax has secured Tom Canter as our newest principal member. Phidiax is committed to our clients and the technology; we are always looking for creative ways to break the mold of traditional consulting, and to continually create unparalleled value to our partners. Tom’s addition to Phidiax leadership will allow us to expand our commitments and responsibilities while maintaining our approach towards organic growth and quality of service.


Tom’s responsibility at Phidiax includes satisfying the role of Director of Integration. He will manage and deliver integration and cloud solutions, as well as contribute leadership to Phidiax subject-matter experts. Tom will partake and contribute to the evolving Phidiax culture and policy. 

Tom is a technical integration specialist, with 15 years of hands-on project/solution/architecture experience using middleware. He has a passion for Microsoft integration technologies, including BizTalk, Azure, and Logic Apps. Since 1993, Tom has worked with IBM technologies, and enjoys working with Host Integration Server. Tom is currently a Microsoft Virtual Technical Specialist (VTS) for Integration. He works jointly with the Microsoft product teams, including the BizTalk product team, to assist with Microsoft client implementation, and contribute to future Microsoft product versions. As part of the VTS program, Tom presents Azure and BizTalk training on behalf of Microsoft worldwide, and he is often called to assist customers implement BizTalk and Azure.

 

Some of Tom’s projects include:

  • Kaiser Permanente – built the first BizTalk ESB
  • Allscripts – enhanced BizTalk architecture and performance
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana – conducted HIPAA 5010 migration
  • Fair Isaac – delivered HIPAA training, design assistance, and remote mentorship


Before joining Phidiax, Tom was an integration architect at CCI Tec, Neudesic, and MidTech Partners. Prior to his consulting career, he worked in software testing as a Quality Architect for Sybase, QA Manager for NEON, and Lead QA Engineer for Attachmate. His 12-year career in the US Navy as a submarine nuclear engineer provided a strong background for managing difficult projects under pressure.
